Mighty Penguins Annual Golf Outing
A popular summertime fun event! Our annual golf outing will be held at a new location! Join us at Manor Valley Golf Club, Export, PA. Immediately following golf, enjoy dinner, prizes, and auction items.
Annual “Chill Out” Band Bash
The event is held at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale, PA. The event will feature bands, Chinese/Silent auctions, and presentations on our players/organization.
“Just Ice It”
The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UPMC Rehabilitation Institute proudly supports the Mighty Penguins. The annual fundraising event provides the opportunity for the Mighty Penguins to face off against physicians and other members of their medical team, offering a first-hand glimpse into the challenging sport of sled hockey while observing their patients in action!
“Joyce Memorial Police Event” – Mighty Penguins vs Local Police Departments
Save the Date! April 27, 2024 from 4:10-6:50 pm
This community event brings our local Cranberry Township Police Department and City of Pittsburgh Police Department onto the ice for fun, competitive sled hockey games! We are expanding to add additional departments. Enjoy our large basket raffle!
Pittsburgh Therapist Challenge
Many of our sled hockey players require long-term physical and occupational therapy and share a close bond with their therapists. This CUP was named in honor of a physical therapist that volunteered with the Mighty Penguins through LEND Pittsburgh. Lauren passed away January 2018 from acute myeloid leukemia. She had an amazing spirt and is dearly missed. Physical and Occupational Therapists from local medical facilities enjoy sled hockey in this competitive tournament. The therapists also enjoy seeing the physical gains of their patients at a social, fun-filled event.
