On-Ice Volunteers:

On-Ice volunteers help coaches coordinate and facilitate drills, retrieve pucks, move nets and push players who have limited upper body mobility in sleds.

On-Ice volunteers must complete:
All volunteers who are 18 years of age or older must complete background checks as part of USA Hockey and Pennsylvania rules as well as USA Hockey Registration and Mighty Penguins Volunteer Registration.

Student Volunteers

We have opportunities for student volunteers. Many of our student volunteers are fellow hockey players who share their experience and knowledge of hockey with our athletes. Student volunteers who have the ability to skate can register as on-ice volunteers who assist our coaching staff, move nets, and assist our athletes as needed. Many of our student volunteers really enjoy their time spent with our athletes and return year after year.

All student volunteers under the age of 18 must complete USA Hockey registration, Mighty Penguins Registration, and parent/guardian consent forms.

Off-Ice Volunteers:

Off-ice volunteers help with new players, equipment fitting, transferring players into and out of sleds, moving players onto and off the ice and organizing the equipment room. There are opportunities to volunteer at home tournaments and fundraising events.

All volunteers who are 18 years of age or older must also complete background checks as part of USA Hockey and Pennsylvania rules as well as USA Hockey Registration and Mighty Penguins Registration.
